Teaching has been an integral part of my life for quite some time now and, up until March 2012, I’ve fueled this passion through my instruction as an elementary-school teacher.  It seems, however, two life changes converged simultaneously to bring me to this new mode of education; my husband accepted a one-year position as a dentist in Germany (uprooting me from the classroom and us from our California “comfort zone”) and I learned that I have PCOS, which catapulted me into devouring research on various aspects of health and wellness.

Processing these life changes triggered a myriad of emotions, culminating in empowerment.  Each and every one of us has the power to make choices that will not only positively impact our health, but fuel the “change we wish to see in the world” (Gandhi).  It is my hope that, by sharing valuable information that I continue to stumble upon in my quest for better health, you will learn how to better nourish yourself and our world, one step at a time.
